Our Beauty By Lan Permanent Makeup Specialist & Technician considers the characteristics of your Epidermis Skin Layer; These are:
Basal cell layer: This layer contains column-shaped cells that push older ones to the surface, where they flatten and die. It also consists of melanocytes that produce melanin and Merkel cells essential for touching sensations.
Squamous cell layer: This layer is the thickest layer of the epidermis. It consists of keratinocytes that produce keratin protein that makes up hair, nails, and skin, as well as Langerhans cells that aid in fighting infections.
Stratum granulosum:
This layer carries more keratinocytes, continuously pushed towards the skin surface.
Stratum lucidum: This layer is a thin, translucent layer of dead skin cells existing only in the palms of the hands and the sole of the feet.
Stratum corneum: Also known as the top layer of the epidermis, it helps the skin to retain moisture and prevent foreign bodies from entering the body. It’s composed of dead and flattened keratinocytes shed every 14 days.
